Why We May Undergo Suffering

I was typing a message I prepared before when my spirit told me to write this instead. So I do!

One of the controversies about God is why does he allow sufferings. If he's really good as we're told, and as powerful as he claims, then he should be able to prevent people from suffering, if he loves them.

I am going through some hard times. Those that know me know this. And some are trying to blame a particular individual for this, but I found out it's no person's fault but mine. I am at the root of my problems, and I know why. So I also know that like a storm it will soon be over....

I will not say anything about why God allows suffering in the first place. That will be the topic for another day if my spirit ever leads me towards that. But why do we suffer as individuals?

I'm assuming that I'm writing for Christians, that is, people that have taken the step to be children again, those that are born again. Those that are outside the household of God suffer for quite different reasons and now is not the time to discuss that.

If you want to be a Christian by receiving Christ into your life, click the link below, say the prayer and type amen.

But why do Christians suffer?

We suffer when we allow it, most of the times. We are usually at fault, and never God. The bible says that he who lowers the hedge, him the snake will bite. So how do we lower the hedge?

By sinning. When we sin, God may allow satan to afflict us, to draw our attention to our transgression.

Two, by disobedience. This is when we know God wants us to do a specific thing and we decide not to, or he doesn't want us to and we do. Sometimes we excuse ourselves by saying it wasn't God that spoke, but does it excuse us before God?

Three, when we don't carry our cross. Followizi Christ involves carrying a cross. It may be in the form of ministry, a sacrifice we need to make, praying and fasting for strength. When we don't want to carry this cross, satan gives us his own and we suffer. There's always a cross, but Jesus says his own is light.

Four, when we are smatter than God. We go and ask God to follow us. We can walk into dangers.

Five, when God wants to change our level. We prove it by undergoing tests. A higher level means more brokenness, and he breaks us. It's for our upliftment.

So when we undergo some hardships, let us try to know why. We may just be the cause tho sometimes it's God working at times to change our status. But in the most times it's our fault, let's find the faults and mend them.
